Overview

Get the best of both worlds with these two block planes supplied in a hinged wooden storage case. Designed for work either single handed or two handed, block planes come in handy in dozens of situations. The 9.1/2 Block Plane is the workhorse, with a 42mm wide blade and adjustable mouth for fine or coarse work. The blade is seated at 21° and used with the bevel uppermost. This is a block plane for general purpose finishing, trimming and tweaking. Blade width: 42mm, overall length: 160mm. The 60.1/2 Block Plane: has its blade seated at a low angle (13.5°) making it perfect for trimming end grain or plastic laminates. With a well honed blade it performs equally as well on hard or softwoods planing with the grain. Blade width: 35mm: overall length: 160mm. Note: Faithfull planes represent excellent value for money. As such they may not be quite as refined as more expensive examples. A little work sharpening the blade and maybe some minor fettling will be most rewarding.
