Supplied in a hinged wooden storage case, the No. 9.1/2 is a classic block plane design for work either single handed or two handed work. It is a super general purpose small plane. The 9.1/2 Block Plane is the workhorse of block planes. It features many refinements such as a 42mm wide blade and adjustable mouth for fine or coarse work. It has micro-adjustable depth control along with lateral blade control. The blade is seated at 21° and used with the bevel uppermost. This is a block plane for general purpose finishing, trimming and tweaking. Blade width: 42mm, overall length: 160mm. Note: Faithfull planes represent excellent value for money. As such they may not be quite as refined as more expensive examples. A little work sharpening the blade and maybe some minor fettling will be most rewarding.
