Carnivorous theropod dinosaur from the beginning of the Jurassic (about 200 million years ago), the Dilophosaurus could measure up to 6 meters long and weigh around 500 kg. Joints allowed him to squint the two bony ridges of his skull that make his particularity, and gave him his name (lizard with 2 crests in Greek).
