A native shrub of China, Jasminum Nudiflorum or Winter Jasmine is a popular garden plant due to its flowering habit, blooming bright, star-shaped yellow flowers in the winter which provide some much-needed colour in the cold weather and herald the coming spring. The long, trailing branches retain some colour even during the winter months, with deep green stems giving this jasmine the illusion of being evergreen. This vigorous shrub is great for vertical growing and can be trained for trellises and frames, though it does not produce supporting tendrils and must be tied. Plant in fertile, well-drained soil in full to partial sun. Keep sheltered from the cold winter winds. An easy to grow, low maintenance plant that requires little attention, though it may be pruned after flowering to promote fresh growth. Pot Size: 9cm Plant Height (Including Pot): 20 - 30cm Characteristics: Hardy deciduous climber with green arching branches bearing small, bright yellow flowers. Growth & Spread: Ultimate height and spread of 1.5 - 2.5m. Flourishing Season: Flowers during Winter and in the early Spring. Water & Maintenance: Plant in fertile, moist, well-drained soil. Keep in full or partial sun in a sheltered position.
