The Rhododendron ‘Moerheim’ is a smaller, compact variety of the popular shrub which is perfect for container planting. Its bushy, mounded growth habit creates a dense clump of glossy, dark green foliage that sits beneath numerous clusters of small, trumpet-shaped violet-blue, almost purple, flowers which bloom from mid to late Spring. A colourful option for partially shaded sites or for use as a flowering low hedge. Plant in moist, humus-rich, well-drained acidic soil and keep partially shaded. Tolerates full sun but may affect flower longevity and foliage colour. Keep in sheltered position and provide frost protection.
