The Cistus Decumbens, also known as the Rock Rose, is a compact, low-growing evergreen shrub with a spreading habit which makes it a great choice for groundcover around tree bases or at the low edge of garden borders. The foliage is made up of densely packed, narrow, dark green leaves that are slightly sticky to the touch. Contrasting white flowers appear from early Summer with 5 wide, overlapping petals, each with a red spot near the base, to round out the display nicely. Plant in any moderately moist, well-drained soil and keep in full sun. Grows well in poorer condition soils but will require full sun and a sheltered position. Drought tolerant once established. Please Note: When purchasing plants please consider that each live item is unique and may, therefore, differ from the images shown, which are for illustration purposes only.
