They can be used in all weather conditions, avoiding the need for clubs to introduce trolley bans. Normal flat golf trolley wheels are usually banned during the winter period as they can cause compaction and smearing. The larger surface area of flat wheels compacts the ground because of a lack of grip causing damage to the fairways and teeing areas used by the trolleys.
