Overview

SHAPTON 50202 water stone for sharpening 1000 grit A sensational series of SHAPTON sharpening stones, where the abrasive layer is combined with a specially prepared layer of tempered glass, which stabilizes the entire stone. A full description of the gradation, grain thickness and catalog number is placed on the glass, so you can use the entire abrasive layer without worrying about identifying the stone. Perfect bonding of glass with the abrasive allows you to use the grinding surface to the last millimeter without fear of stone chipping. The unique structure of Glass Stone stones with very high grain uniformity allows you to sharpen each knife very effectively. This also affects the durability of the stone, which wears extremely slowly and occasionally requires leveling. Stones from the Glass Stone series are among the hardest on the market. When using SHAPTON stones for the first time, soak them in water for about 6 minutes. Specially developed Splash&Go technology prevents excessive water absorption by the stone. It allows, during subsequent sharpening of knives, to spray the stone abundantly with water, without having to soak it again for a long time. Gradation: 1000 grits Grain: 14.7µm Dimensions: 210x70x10mm Abrasive layer: 5mm Libra: Approx. 360g
