Overview

Universal two-phase ceramic sharpener designed for sharpening all types of knives, except for those with one-sided cuts, e.g.. traditional Japanese knives. The water makes the sharpening process faster, and the factory-set holes help you sharpen the knife at the right angle. The rubberized handle and base have non-slip properties.   White wheel - COARSE grain Pink wheel - MEDIUM grain   Usage Tips1. Pour water into the wheel chamber and do not pour it out until the end of sharpening. The water moistens the ceramic sharpeners and prevents the blade from overheating.2. Grip the handle firmly so that the sharpener does not move.3. Grab the knife with your other hand, holding the back of the blade with your index finger. Insert the knife vertically into the groove with the white circle (coarse grain). Move the blade back and forth while applying light pressure: 7-8 times or as needed. Do not apply too much pressure to the knife when moving the edge in the sharpener. Excessive pressure can damage the wheels!4. Insert the knife vertically into the groove with the pink circle (medium grain). Move the blade back and forth while applying light pressure: 7-8 times.5. After the operation, wash the knife by hand in hot water and wipe it dry with a towel or cloth. Remove the cover and rinse the sharpener in clean water.   How many times you need to move the sharpened edge depends on the type and condition of the knife. For Global knives, 7-8 times in each circle are recommended. Other brands of knives can be moved 15 times in each wheel, and if the knife is not sharp enough, repeat the operation 15 times.   MinoSharp sharpeners have been tested and approved by CATRA, a leading authority in sharpening techniques based in Sheffield, UK.
