The repeller comes with an PIR motion sensor which triggers when a warm body enters the its range. This both saves battery life, but also cats can adapt if random sounds arent directly associated with their presence. The motion sensor means the cat will associate the noise with its own movement. The repeller is IP44 resistant, this makes it great to use outside regardless of what the weather throws at it. The included ground stake allows you to easily place anywhere in your garden without worry of rain cover.
