Shape OverviewAs the Gypsy is all about control and feel, it utilises a fully balanced blunt profile twin-tip shape. This low swing weight design ensures that even during the most technical tricks, you’ll always be in control of what’s going on. Now to enhance that feeling of control even further, Salomon utilises their advanced Quadralizer sidecut.This unique sidecut geometry combines equalizer with Quadratic zones to deliver genuinely mind-blowing levels of grip and control. ProfileTo ensure that the Gypsy delivers that perfect balance of freestyle control with all-terrain versatility, Salomon utilises their state of the art Rock Out Camber. This complex profile combines rocker zones at the contact points with camber under the feet and a flat section between the bindings. This unique profile delivers a versatile ride ensuring that no matter what or where you ride, you know that this board is never going to feel wanting. ConstructionInternally the Gypsy’s advanced construction is headed up with the state of the art Popster Booster Aspen Select Core. This hand-selected Aspen core is reinforced with carbon rods running out from just under the feet and out to the contact points to deliver a poppy and powerful flex. Now to ensure the Gypsy provides the optimum performance, it then goes through a unique milling process which creates thick and thin zones through the length of the core, allowing the designers to dial in the perfect flex. Now to give the Gypsy its playful freestyle feel, Salomon creates the structural layers from their exclusive medium density bi-ax glass. This works in perfect harmony with that advanced core profiling and those carbon rods to deliver the perfect balance of buttery flex with pop and power. Now as the Gypsy’s all about freestyle, Salomon fit it with their Slingshot sidewalls. These are explicitly designed to help absorb hard impacts without overly effecting edge grip.
