Overview

Rule the park with Armada’s ARW 86, a lightweight, high-performance women’s ski built for shredding any features, natural or manmade. The AR75 Sidewall construction uses sidewalls underfoot to ensure the right grip and control on icy in-runs or fast piste, with caps at the tip and tail to improve handling as well as durability. The Poplar/Ash core is solid but full of life and pop for hitting rails, kickers and bumps. The S7 base is tough and fast; 2.2 Impact edges increase resistance without unnecessary weight. AR Freestyle Rocker uses camber through the centre of the ski for added pop and control, with rocker at the tip and tail to i improve steering and release whilst also making butters, smears and presses smoother.Terrain Type & Ability LevelTerrain Type This is a park and urban focused ski that will rip on pistes and easily handle the side terrain around groomed runs. Thanks to rocker it will ski soft snow pretty well but it hasn’t got the width to deal with deeper stuff (look to the ARV 96 or even 106 for that). It’s a great option for UK dome and dryslopes too.Skier TypeFreestyle skiers who want to spend most of their time in parks and urban settings, with time spent shredding pistes too and the terrain off the sides. It’ll suit intermediates or advanced skiers, it isn’t over stiff but it certainly isn’t a noodle either. It’s a great option for UK dome and dryslopes too.OverviewShape86mm in the waist is pretty slim so it feels quick from edge to edge and, keeping things nimble and responsive in the park. A 17m (163cm) radius is a good balance to esnure stability and still feel good in range of turn sizes when cruising the mountain or pistes.RockerAR Freestyle Rocker uses rockered tips and tails combined with positive camber under foot to allow the ski to charge with ease through unpredictable snow and maintain a solid carve when asked to do so. Turn the whole mountain into your playground.CoreArmada’s Poplar Ash Core uses lightweight poplar combined with higher density full-length ash stringers to create an impossibly lively ski that has all the power needed for boosting to new elevations.ConstructionThe AR75 Sidewall uses semi-cap sidewall along the majority of the ski with a full cap at the tip and tails. This combination helps absorb high speed chatter and impacts from jibs.Key Features2.2 Impact edgeHeat treated and built to avoid excess weight while maintain durability, this edge gives the best balance of durability and feel of the whole Armada collection.S7 BaseThe perfect blend of durability and speed.eB tester’s comments: Andi (Bristol) This is all about having fun on any terrain, in any condition at any speed. An all terrain freestyle ski that has a kick on piste.Technical SpecificationsSize (cm)Tip Width (mm)Waist Width (mm)Tail Width (mm)Radius (m)Weight (g)16311486108171600General InformationSkier Ability: Intermediate/AdvancedTerrain Type: Freestyle Rocker: Tip/Tail RockerRadius: MediumBase: SinteredBindings: n/aDIN: n/aConstruction: Semi SidewallCore: WoodDemo: NoSizing Description: eye level for the maximum ease of spinning and rail tricks, but you need to go bigger for extra stability or speed and for all mountain versatility, especially important on the wider models that are designed to spend more time away from the park.
