While the Ultimate Traction edges place a small counter radius (bump) in the middle of the boards sidecut, improving edge hold without creating drag or unpredictable edge grip.ProfileOne of the key contributors to the Happy-Places stunning performance is the innovative 2nd generation Cam Rock profile. Heading this up is the state of the art Pop core, constructed mainly from durable poplar it adds additional woods to deliver a poppy yet predictable feel. Beech strips run from the inserts from tip to tail for power transfer; while the sturdy spruce stringers run from just outside the inserts back out to the tip and tail increasing pop and precision. To this Slash then add structural layers created from a softer flexing Bi-Ax glass. This two-way weave fibreglass with strands running at 0 and 90-degrees is more forgiving, easier to flex and highly versatile for all types of riding. Slash then add their Sweet Spot bracing which features two carbon fibre stringers stretching outward from the inserts to the contact points in both the tip and the tail. These increase pop, generate stronger edge hold and create a more playful ride.BaseThe Happy Places sintered base is fast, durable and requires less waxing.
