Salomon have excelled themselves with the new QST 99, losing none of the positives of the old version as the updates bring only improvements. The ski feels livelier through the turns, impressive considering its 99mm waist which you know will excel in soft snow. A layer of Carbon CF/X increases the precision, working with the Cork Damplifier in the tip to smooth the ride and with the new tip shape to provide more control. Its still an easy ski to use but its now added more power and response as well as stability in more challenging terrain. Testers comments: Andrea (Covent Garden) The snow was coming down fast and visibility was poor. I had to ski slow and controlled, something that I was very surprised that this ski did well, looking at it youd think its a pure charger.
